Zoom has joined Amazon Web Services (AWS)’ Partner Network (APN) for Public Sector Partners in the US.

The partnership means that both Zoom and Zoom for Government will now be available on the AWS Marketplace for federal, state, and local government customers.

Zoom’s listing on the marketplace allows organisations to either select the commercial Zoom platform or its FedRAMP-authorised Zoom for Government platform, which is hosted in the US-based AWS GovCloud infrastructure and US-based co-located datacentres. Zoom Meetings and Chat, Zoom Rooms and Zoom Video Webinars will all be available for purchase.

The deal also means that Zoom will be participating in the AWS Public Sector Partner Program.

Carahsoft, which distributes Zoom for Government and is also a member of AWS Marketplace will help facilitate transactions. Zoom and its Government platform are only available in the US via the AWS Marketplace because fo Carahsoft’s support.

“Bringing Zoom to AWS Marketplace is a great example of APN’s continuous support of the public sector customer,” stated Sandy Carter, Vice President, Worldwide Public Sector Partners and Programs, AWS.

“Two APN Partners – Carahsoft, an AWS Distributor, and Tackle – helped Zoom to accelerate the product listing and integration process, paving the way to seamlessly serve federal agencies and state and local governments with secure, modern collaboration tools.”
