Colt Launches Teams Direct-Routing-as-a-Service Solution

Colt’s cloud SBC speeds Microsoft Teams direct routing without on-prem hardware, helping enterprises move PSTN voice in days.

Colt Direct-Routing-as-a-Service for Teams

Colt Technology Services has launched a direct-routing-as-a-service solution named Cloud Session Border Controller (SBC).

The solution allows PSTN calls to be taken through Teams without the need to host any hardware on-premises or in a datacentre, enabling enterprises to benefit from direct routing for Teams in a matter of days.

Keri Gilder, CEO at Colt, said “This past year has truly highlighted the value of delivering voice and network services quickly and seamlessly. As the world changed dramatically, we saw first-hand the increasing need for voice services, which were critical for enterprises who needed to shift their operations to remote working almost overnight.

“Our customers benefited in these times by working with one supplier who could deliver a complete intelligent communications solution, enabling the collaboration tools needed for today’s digital workplace"

“Colt’s investment in its Intelligent Communications offering will continue to pay dividends, as more and more enterprises transition to Microsoft Teams as their primary collaboration and communication cloud-based platform.”

Colt Cloud SBC has been built in conjunction with AudioCodes, an advanced voice networking vendor, and is an extension of Colt’s Intelligent Communications proposition launched in 2019.

With the SBC solution, Colt aims to combine its own voice and data networks with Microsoft 365 and Teams to deliver end-to-end performance, security, and reliability in a unique one-stop IT capability.

The solution is fully cloud-based and enables greater agility for both large and small enterprises, with provisioning and on-boarding taking less than a week - dramatically reducing delivery time – Colt claimed.

Colt Cloud SBC can be bundled into a solution bringing together all the components required for a unified collaboration experience in one contract and also offers per usage pricing, giving small and medium enterprises the flexibility to power their on-going digital transformations.
