Crestron has announced two new products for meeting rooms worldwide: the DM NAX Intelligent Audio platform and the 1β―Beyond i12D intelligent camera.
The company says both are designed to make professional audio and video easier to deploy and manage in everyday spaces, from small huddle rooms to large boardrooms.
βHybrid meetings have made it painfully clear that audio and video canβt be an afterthought,β said Joel Mulpeter, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Crestron.
βWith DM NAX Intelligent Audio and the 1 Beyond i12D, weβre giving organisations a simple, scalable way to deploy crystal-clear audio and engaging, intelligent video in the rooms people use every day so AI assistants hear every word, remote participants stay engaged, and IT teams arenβt buried in complexity.β
Crestron also emphasises digital signal processing tools such as acoustic echo cancellation, automatic gain control and noise reduction. The platform tracks who is speaking through βdirection of arrivalβ audio.
It is optimised for Microsoft Copilot to support accurate AI transcription and voice tools.
Intelligent MultiβCamera Video in One Unit
The 1β―Beyond i12D camera combines three 4K cameras in a single enclosure.
Two PTZ lenses with 12x optical zoom capture detailed speaker shots. A wideβangle lens covers the whole room. Builtβin microphones detect who is speaking, and onboard visual AI manages framing, tracking and composition.
Users can switch between pictureβinβpicture and conversation mode. The system can also coordinate with up to four additional 1β―Beyond cameras. This avoids the need for external control systems.
Reference audio can be brought in through AES67 or analogue inputs to make speaker tracking more accurate.
The i12D supports USBβC, HDMI and RTSP streaming. It also holds certifications for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.
These options make it suitable for both standardised conferencing systems and BringβYourβOwnβDevice (BYOD) environments.
Crestron positions both DM NAX and the i12D within a larger ecosystem that includes the 80 Series Touch Screens, Collab Compute as an AIβready core, and AutoMeasure for automated video calibration.
The idea is to give integrators a suite of validated, plugβandβplay tools that cut down installation work and improve consistency across many rooms.
A Market Accelerating Around Hybrid Work
The timing of Crestronβs launch coincides with strong growth in the conference room solutions market.
According to a Credence Research report, the market is projected to grow from approximately $1.53β―billion in 2024 to $β―4.63β―billion by 2032.
Another report estimates a growth of grow from $1.79 billion in 2024 to $6.40 billion by 2032.
Organisations increasingly value tools that automate tasks and make meetings easier to follow, including automated framing, realβtime transcription and room scheduling features.
Competitive Landscape and Ecosystem Play
Crestron is not alone in advancing AIβready hardware. Other vendors have also expanded their offerings.
For example, Jabra and Lenovo recently collaborated on a nextβgeneration PanaCast 50 Room System.
That system is aimed at hybrid work environments and combines panoramic video hardware with AIβoptimised compute.
Around the same time, AVer introduced an AIβpowered BYOM (BringβYourβOwnβMeeting) switch. This product enhances flexibility in enterprise collaboration setups.
Broadly, companies such as Logitech, Cisco and Microsoft continue to invest in integrated audioβvisual systems.
These systems often link hardware and conferencing platforms more tightly.
For example, Logitech products are widely used across corporate conferencing deployments and have deep integrations with major conferencing services.
Against this backdrop, Crestronβs strategy emphasises networked audioβvisual hardware and ecosystem cohesion.
By offering standardised, preβvalidated solutions, the company aims to meet enterprise demand for uniform performance and easier management across many rooms.
What It Means for IT Teams
For IT professionals and AV integrators, networkβfirst platforms such as DM NAX promise real benefits.
Features like PoE and autoβdiscovery can reduce configuration time and the need for multiple site visits, especially in larger estates.
Integrated AI tools also aim to make meetings more clear and inclusive for remote participants.
However, successful adoption still depends on organisationsβ overall technology strategy.
Companies must be ready to support networkβcentric architectures and integrate new hardware into existing conferencing platforms.
Hardware choices will continue to be shaped by technical needs and user expectations.
Crestron says both the DM NAX Intelligent Audio platform and the 1β―Beyond i12D camera will be available in Q2β―2026 through authorised dealers.
As hybrid work continues to shape enterprise technology investments, these new products aim to make collaboration more seamless, consistent and scalable across modern workplaces.
