Logitech has unveiled its first foldable mouse β a device designed to support professionals working across multiple locations and devices.
The new Mobi Fold and Mobi Fold for Business were announced this week as the company seeks to address what it describes as an βOn-the-Go Productivity Gapβ among modern workers.
According to Logitech research cited in the launch, while 72 percent of professionals own a computer mouse, only 26 percent regularly use one when working in public spaces.
The company argues that portability remains a major barrier for employees who split their time between offices, homes, airports, hotels, and other temporary work environments.
As hybrid and flexible working models continue to reshape workplace technology requirements, vendors are increasingly focusing on accessories that can travel easily without compromising functionality.
βFor a long time, people have left their mice behind simply because they were a hassle to carry around, not because they didnβt want to use one,β said Joseph Mingori, VP and General Manager at Logitech.
βWith Mobi Fold, we have engineered a frictionless transition between the dedicated desk and working on the move. By delivering a comfortable, productive experience that collapses to nearly half its size β and reduces muscle strain by 22 percent compared to a laptop trackpad β we ensure a professional setup is a constant, not a compromise.β
Designed for Work Beyond the Desk
The launch reflects broader changes in how and where work takes place.
As organisations continue to support hybrid work arrangements, employees increasingly rely on portable devices and accessories that can be quickly deployed in different environments.
While laptops remain central to mobile productivity, many workers continue to prefer external peripherals for tasks requiring precision, navigation, and extended use.
Logitechβs answer is a mouse that folds flat for transport and automatically powers on when opened and off when closed.
Among the key features are Adaptive Touch Scrolling, two programmable buttons, and multi-device Bluetooth connectivity. Users can connect the mouse to as many as three devices simultaneously and switch between them as needed.
The device supports Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux, reflecting the increasingly diverse technology environments found across enterprises and remote workforces.
For users working in shared spaces such as coffee shops, coworking locations, libraries, or airport lounges, Logitech has also incorporated quiet-click technology designed to minimise disruption to nearby colleagues and other users.
Business Edition Targets Enterprise Deployments
Alongside the consumer version, Logitech is also introducing Mobi Fold for Business, which includes features aimed at enterprise deployments and IT teams.
The business-focused variant ships with a Logi Bolt USB-C receiver, providing an alternative to Bluetooth connectivity for organisations that require additional reliability or security controls. It also includes compatibility with Logitech Sync, the companyβs device management platform used by IT departments to monitor and manage workplace technology assets.
The enterprise version is backed by a two-year limited hardware warranty.
During its most recent earnings call, Logitech CEO Hanneke Faber outlined the companyβs plans to expand its enterprise focus.
βWeβll invest in Logitech for Business. Weβre deepening our presence in B2B markets by building enterprise-grade commercial capabilities and expanding into new verticals, including education, government, and healthcare.β
Battery Life and Durability Take Centre Stage
Portable devices often face heightened demands around durability and battery performance, particularly for frequent travellers.
To address those concerns, Logitech says Mobi Fold has been drop-tested and incorporates a dust-resistant silicone exterior. The company also claims the mouseβs internal hinge has been tested to withstand up to 15 years of daily use.
Battery performance is another area of focus. According to Logitech, a full charge can provide up to 30 days of usage, while a one-minute charge delivers up to 22 hours of operation.
The company has also incorporated an on-device AI model designed to prevent unintended clicks while the device is being folded and stored.
In another first for Logitech, Mobi Fold has received Fast Pair certification for compatible Google devices, enabling simplified Bluetooth pairing and setup.
While much of the workplace technology conversation in recent years has focused on AI, collaboration platforms, and employee experience tools, Logitechβs latest announcement serves as a reminder that physical peripherals remain an important part of the modern work experience.
For employees who spend significant time away from a permanent desk setup, compact accessories that improve comfort and productivity continue to represent a growing market opportunity.
Mobi Fold will be available globally in Graphite, with Lilac and Off White available in selected markets. The device is priced at $79.99, while Mobi Fold for Business will be available through Logitechβs authorised business channels for $89.99.
