Dialpad is launching ‘DialpadGPT’, joining the likes of ChatGPT, Bard, Einstein GPT, SlackGPT, and more.
It is a domain-specific large language model (LLM) that it calls the “first” to be specifically designed to cater to the changing needs of modern businesses.
DialpadGPT was built over five years and uses real-time generative AI based on five billion minutes of proprietary conversational data to automate tasks and improve customer service, sales, and recruiting experiences for businesses of all sizes.
Dan O’Connell, Chief AI & Strategy Officer at Dialpad, commented on the release: “LLMs are only as accurate and strong as the data they are trained on.
“DialpadGPT was purpose-built for the enterprise, and addresses businesses’ common qualms with existing LLMs.
“It leverages our transcription engine, that has best-in-class accuracy, to produce strong, unbiased results at a fast speed, provides the opportunity to scale, and meets high security and compliance standards – all at a lower cost than existing LLMs.
“AI has been at the heart of Dialpad’s business for more than five years, and we’re excited to bring such a transformative tool to market.”
According to Dialpad, LLMs like ChatGPT are a proven gateway for businesses but they have their pitfalls, such as scale limitations and concerns about accuracy, lacking business data, privacy, and security, which DialpadGPT has addressed.
Furthermore, there are major challenges for companies seeking to AI transformation because of limited global capacity, including a lack of computational power and increasing costs.
DIalpadGPT has been designed for scalability, however, making AI more accessible to enterprises who can then utilise Dialpad’s generative features from the first day of deployment.
Businesses contending with AI and machine learning (ML) application issues due to knowledge gaps or a shortage of internal expertise, Dialpad GPT offers no-code options that make it easier to adopt AI for sale, service, and recruitment.
Will Griffith, Founding Partner at ICONIQ Growth, said: “The next wave of AI products will produce compliant, tailored, and unbiased results with greater precision and speed than we’ve seen historically.
