Out in the field can be a tough place to work.
The noise, the remoteness, the danger of vast, distributed enterprise environments: all conspire to ensure mobile frontline workers’ day-to-day experience is a far cry from that of their desk-based colleagues and customers.
From an enterprise communications perspective, it means reliable mobile connectivity, robust mobile hardware, and low-touch mobile functionality are all critically important.
In many cases, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is not an option for a myriad of reasons; some technical, some legal, and some practical. In those cases, employers must provide handsets that enable workers to not only stay in touch, but also to stay safe.
Of course, cloud-powered communication also means that organisations’ technological capabilities can often be replicated on any connected device, meaning those frontline field workers can leverage smart applications that were once only accessible from behind a desk.
To compete in a world where barriers to effective service delivery can appear to be prohibitively challenging, enterprises that depend on those types of workforces must partner with providers capable of helping them succeed.
“Modern frontline workers demand a high-quality user experience that not only helps to improve their productivity and efficiency, but which also keeps them safe and secure,” says Paul Rowe, Senior Product Manager at leading enterprise mobility solution provider Spectralink Corporation, whose just-launched S Series wireless handset range has all of that covered.
“We provide our customers with the most durable mobile infrastructure for business-critical communication and collaboration, as well as delivering big on that all-important worker safety. Not only does our new S Series range empower workforces with a modern user experience, they also deliver employers a future-proof investment in new innovation.”
The new handset range - an addition to Spectralink’s existing Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) product portfolio - comprises three models: the S33, S35 and S37. When paired with its DECT infrastructure, they all deliver a crystal-clear wireless voice calling solution that is fully interoperable and easy to integrate with alarms, messaging and business telephony platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco, ZoomPhone, RingCentral, Dstny and Avaya.
