After three years of taking place online, this year finally saw the Ericsson-LG Enterprise Global Partner Conference (GPC) return to being a face-to-face event. The company expressed its excitement about hosting its 2023 GPC in Seoul, where it's headquartered, and where most of its iPECS-related innovation is centered.
The theme for the 3-day event was "iPECS, Future Together," highlighting the reason for bringing everyone together; while the content focused on partner success and covered important messages around the company’s vision, product strategy, and marketing plans. The event also presented opportunities for attendees to meet with company executives, as well as network with their peers from around the world to share best practices.
I chatted with Ahed Alkhatib, Head of Sales and Marketing at Ericsson-LG Enterprise, to learn all about this year's event and share the important highlights.
A Commitment to Innovation
GPC 2023 gathered the Ericsson-LG Enterprise global partner community for three days of networking, knowledge sharing, learning about company innovations, and of course, some good old team bonding.
"We find ourselves at a time in which our industry is transforming and innovating at a tremendous pace," Alkhatib notes.
"It's important for our partners to know that they have a vendor partner committed to their success and investing in the technology innovation required to grow and thrive in the marketplace."
Notable speakers at the Seoul event included CEO Patrick Johansson, Head of Operations Jaeen Yoo, Head of R&D Seokwon Lee, and Alkhatib himself. Partner guest speakers included Vertical's Kevin Butler, Getcrisp's Richard Knight, and Pragma's Will Morey, each providing a unique perspective and addressing a different angle of the iPECS solution, covering digital transformation, the shift to cloud, and the importance of applications and API’s.
Sharing the Business Vision
One of the main goals of Ericsson-LG Enterprise's GPC 2023 was to share the company’s strategy and business vision with their partners.
"We have a proud history of innovation, and one of the key tenants of our strategy is choice," Alkhatib explains.
"Our end-to-end portfolio of premise and cloud solutions for enterprises both small and large allows us to have a business conversation with the customer – not a technology conversation; and to match the right solution that addresses the customer's requirements."
"Our strategy is focused on providing customers a seamless migration path to the cloud," he adds.
