Feeling Good? Slack's Moodbot Makes it Easier to See Employee Moods

Mood is an important indicator of employee performance. Moodbot for Slack hopes to give enterprises an insight into the power of feeling.

Happier employees are more productive. It's a fact that has been confirmed by numerous studies over the years. In fact, one study found that productivity increases by 12% when employees feel good. In a world where employee mood matters, Slack wants modern enterprises to have the power to determine how their staff feels at any given moment. With Moodbot - a survey application for Slack, it's possible to automatically check the mood of your workforce on a weekly basis, and identify both positive, and negative trends.

Every week, Moodbot uses a mini survey to measure the feelings of the enterprise workforce, storing the results in an encrypted database without any personal data. All of the feedback is automatically made anonymous before it becomes available for evaluation. This means that companies can get a more honest view of how their team members feel.

How Moodbot Measures Mood

With Moodbot on Slack, every employee has the opportunity to share their experiences on a Thursday. The feedback is then made anonymous and displayed to employees in time for an anonymous vote on Friday morning. Staff gets to vote on the statements that resonate best with them, and then the Moodbot delivers three of the most significant results of the week to the people leading the team.

Moodbot comes with a range of useful features, including a trend solution that allows you to check the overall changes in mood within the workforce over time, as well as "voted written feedback" where employers can check out written comments from their workers. There's also a participant trend measurement, which helps bosses to see how many of their recruits have participated in recent surveys. The results can even be broken down to team level, allowing companies to evaluate their results on a segmented basis.

Empowering Employees for Better Performance

Better PerformanceThe Moodbot survey app is a product delivered by the New Work Labs, which was originally developed by Taner Kizilok in 2017. It's designed to work seamlessly with Slack, to help make employee feedback and support easier for the enterprise. According to Taner, good performance often gets overlooked within a busy workforce, and difficult experiences get attention from leaders too late. The Moodbot product helps to solve this problem by making feedback a natural part of the familiar Slack environment.

Companies using the Slack collaboration tool are now free to add the Moodbot app to their experience via the Moodbot homepage. You can test the system for up to 10 weeks for free. When the trial version automatically runs out, your survey data will be deleted, unless you choose to continue paying for the app at a rate of $3 per user, per month.
