Former ScanSource Europe Execs Launch Cloud Consultancy

Why it matters: ex-ScanSource Europe leaders launch Leading Cloud Solutions for UCaaS, CCaaS and cybersecurity advice. Published on UC Today.

Former ScanSource Europe execs launch cloud consultancy

Former ScanSource senior executives Joel Price and Dave Hepplewhite have set up their own consulting firm, Leading Cloud Solutions.

Price, who was previously VP of sales for the UK, Ireland and France at ScanSource, and Hepplewhite, who was a sales manager at the now-defunct distributor, have set up the new cloud consultancy to provide independent advice to customers.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were both left with a decision to make as to the next step of our career. Having worked alongside each other for over 15 years, it felt [like] the time was right to pursue an exciting new opportunity to continue working together in an industry that we are passionate about,” the pair wrote on the company website.

“We felt that we were ideally placed to help businesses in an innovative way to find the right cloud solutions, whilst saving time and money in the process. Leading Cloud Solution Ltd was created with this purpose in mind.”

Leading Cloud Solutions focuses on UCaaSCCaaS, cybersecurity and specialises in integration between platforms, such as UCaaS and CRM.

The firm claims to have “extensive” relationships with hundreds of cloud solution providers and adopts an agnostic approach to its services.

“Some of the providers that we work with have seen a 30-fold increase in business following the first lockdown in March 2020; it is well documented that companies needed to act quickly to support a working from home model,” stated Price.

“We expect to see continued adoption of such cloud technologies due to their flexibility and affordability. A belief supported by Gartner, who reported that by 2023 more than 50 per cent of large organisations will connect to cloud providers, up from 10 per cent in 2019 and by 2024, 74 per cent of new UC licenses purchased by organisations will be cloud-based”.

ScanSource Europe was bought by Ten Oaks in November last year for $30m, leaving the original ScanSource with its North American and cloud business. The brand was renamed TexelPro soon after rumours emerged of its demise in January and that it had let go all of its UK staff.
