Dave first takes us through his early history in the technology industry working as an engineer for BT and how and why he started his own businesses.
We then examine the early days of cloud communications. Dave was an early adopter of BroadSoft's cloud platform in the early 2000s. Despite some challenges when introducing the technology to customers he managed to successfully transition from a traditional communications business to forward thinking cloud model. He also recognised the opportunity to help partners by founding Uboss and enabling them to simplify and automate their back office processes.
With Dave's long history in the industry we try to get him to do the impossible and predict what might happen in the communications market going forward over the next cycle. Dave considers the vendor landscape and the idea that we are still only in the very early days of cloud platforms.
