GlobalMeet Dolby Voice collaboration

PGi, the leading communication company behind the GlobalMeet collaboration platform, has recently introduced a range of new features and functionalities for GlobalMeet, including the arrival of a new and enhanced audio system with Dolby Voice. Other updates to the service include the arrival of a redesigned app for iOS, a local number access system, and a simpler bookings portal for customers that want to schedule large events.

All of the latest upgrades and enhancements to the PGi GlobalMeet system are intended to help more people connect and collaborate around the world.

Introducing Dolby Voice for GlobalMeet

The most significant update to the GlobalMeet experience comes in the form of the arrival of Dolby Voice, for enhanced voice clarity and reduced background noise in the average meeting experience. The Dolby Voice solution removes unwanted noise in business conversations, to allow people to work more seamlessly together.

According to the VP of Product Management and Business Development for the Dolby Communications Business Group, Patrick Ferriter, people need better quality audio during meetings. The expertise that Dolby offers in audio technology allows the company to provide exceptional conferencing experiences as part of the GlobalMeet environment. PGi’s leadership in the collaboration market, combined with the Dolby audio solution will allow for a far more immersive experience between users in the communication space.

Additional Updates to GlobalMeet

Along with the arrival of the new Dolby Voice solution, PGi is also introducing additional updates for GlobalMeet which include a redesigned mobile experience. The new iOS app is more tailored to iOS applications, and offers a consistent experience across multiple devices for PGi users.

What’s more, PGi also announced that it is expanding its cloud platform with the arrival of new global inbound numbers in locations like South Africa and New Zealand. The arrival of new numbers and localised calling experiences will support PGi’s effort to create a more global footprint. GlobalMeet’s reach now expands across Mexico, Israel, South Africa, New Zealand, Japan, Brazil, France, Australia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, and the US.

The CTO of PGi, Pat Harper, noted that the company is continuing to expand it’s global reach and offer robust cloud-based solutions for unified communication at a faster pace than any other provider at this time. The PGi team is committed to continuing the search for more ways to enhance customer experiences in the years to come too.

The New Self-Service Events Portal

Another change to GlobalMeet is the arrival of a new self-service interface portal for events that will help to make booking and managing new events more efficient. You’ll be able to view the schedule of upcoming events and change those event details in real-time. The solution also provides notifications when post-event information and deliverables are ready and available to download.
