Google Workspace is continuing to see “strong growth”, according to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai.
The Chief Exec (pictured) was speaking as Google reported a year-on-year sales increase of 62 percent, to $61.9bn.
“Google Workspace continues to show strong growth, particularly in the enterprise space because we have designed the product to meet the challenges of hybrid work,” he said.
“This includes the announcements we made at [developer event] I/O about Smart Canvas, as well as expanding our advanced security and compliance capabilities and solutions for front-line workers.”
Google said that Workspace revenue rise was driven by growth in both seats and average spend per seat.
The Google Cloud business unit - which houses Google’s cloud infrastructure, data analytics, and collaboration tools – saw sales climb 54 percent year on year to $4.6bn.
