GoTo intends to acquire the Mobile Device Management (MDM) Company Miradore to expand its GoTo Resolve IT support platform.
The added capabilities for GoTo Resolve will enable IT teams from small and medium-sized businesses to receive greater device management capabilities across all commonly used operating systems and mobile devices.
GoTo is set to acquire Miradore from a Nordic technology investor, Standout Captial, among other shareholders.
Mike Kohlsdorf, CEO of GoTo, said: "Miradore's scalable, SMB-focused solutions are a natural fit for GoTo and our customers, and we're extremely excited to be working together.
"Not only does it provide a leading platform for mobile and macOS device management, Miradore also brings a talented team of employees, more than 2,700 customers and MSP distributors, and over 89,000 user accounts across 180 countries.
"All of this will further bolster GoTo's internal talent and market potential within the fast-growing MDM market, which is expected to surpass $28 billion by 2027."
According to GoTo, roughly two-thirds of operating systems worldwide are made up of iOS, Android, and macOS, all of which are compatible with Miradore's technology.
As a result, IT teams working in hybrid working setups will be able to support and manage their mobile devices more easily.
New security features will also be amalgamated with GoToResolve's enterprise-grade encryption and zero-trust security. IT departments will gain new controls, including lockdown capabilities for new bring-your-own and company-issued devices to reduce data exposure.
Communications, remote support, desktop management, Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), and Miradore's MDM capabilities will all be contained within a unified admin system which GoTo believe will save customers time and money.
The unification and simplification of features into a single offering aligns with GoTo's plan to remove the complexity from hybrid working solutions.
