US telco Granite has announced a partnership with SpaceX's Starlink to become an authorised reseller of the satellite internet service.
"We are excited to incorporate Starlink into Granite's portfolio of solutions that bring competition, choice and innovation to our customers."
Granite President and CEO Rob Hale said.
"Backed by Granite's dedicated team of experts, award-winning customer service and our one-stop-shop model, we are confident that Starlink's LEO satellite service will deliver significant benefits to our customers."
The deal will see Granite offer its enterprise customers across the US and Canada access to high-speed, low-latency internet through Starlink.
Revolutionising Enterprise Connectivity
The collaboration between Granite and Starlink represents a paradigm shift in how businesses approach their internet connectivity needs.
Starlink's LEO satellite technology provides a unique advantage over conventional satellite internet services. By orbiting closer to Earth, these satellites significantly reduce latency and increase speeds, making them comparable to terrestrial broadband options.
By leveraging SpaceX's advanced broadband satellite internet system, Granite can now offer reliable, high-speed internet to remote regions where traditional options have been either prohibitively expensive or entirely unavailable.
The company has also taken steps to integrate its own proprietary technology with Starlink's offerings, creating a comprehensive solution for enterprise customers.
Combining Starlink's satellite technology with Granite's Managed Network Services and user-friendly portal creates a powerful, easy-to-manage network solution for multi-location businesses and government agencies.
Equally, Granite's patented edgebootPro solution employs AI-driven capabilities to monitor, diagnose, and automate failover responses, significantly enhancing the reliability of the Starlink service.
This breakthrough allows businesses to maintain seamless operations even in the most challenging geographical locations.
UCaaS Capability Enhancement
Granite's partnership with Starlink may stretch beyond mere reselling, however.
The Granite-Starlink partnership has significant implications for customers of the telco's UC solutions, particularly for organisations with distributed workforces or operations in remote areas.
