IMCCA Brings New Participants to Collaboration Week

Why it matters: IMCCA’s Collaboration Week returns to Silicon Valley with Intuit, Poly and Amazon, spotlighting UCC trends, sponsors and awards. Published on UC

IMCCA Collaboration Week new participants

The IMCCA, or Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance, a not-for-profit voice in the UCC industry for over 20 years, recently announced new updates to Collaboration Week in Silicon Valley. The event, scheduled to take place between the 28th and 30th of October 2019 will focus on new and exciting trends in the UCC space, with opportunities for integrators, manufactures, end-users, and consultants alike.

Recently, IMCCA announced new sponsors, locations, and additional elements for the three-day event, which will be hosted at different sites. Intuit will host the event on Monday, Poly will take over on Tuesday, and Amazon will be taking the lead on Wednesday. The program will include presentations from IMCCA board members, leading industry analysts, and industry end-users too.

What to Expect from Collaboration Week

The sessions already established for this year's Collaboration Week include free registration, free lunch and breakfast, and a number of excellent prizes available for attendees, like free headsets and cameras. Additionally, the IMCCA just announced that the Gala Dinner on Tuesday evening will be honouring a leader in the industry, Bob Hagerty with a Lifetime Achievement award.

Mr. Hagerty has spent 30 years supporting the collaboration industry through roles at Polycom, iControl, Palm, and Smart, and he's also chairman of the board at Poly. Registration for the Gala Dinner comes with a small fee, as the event has limited capacity. What's more, there's a growing list of sponsors for the event too, including Amazon, BlueJeans, Intel, Pexip, Zoom, Poly, Intuit, Logitech, Vyopta, Rec.VC and Crestron.

This year, in February, the IMCCA hosted the first collaboration week to take place in New York, with more than 300 attendees, the highly successful event highlighted new ways to communication and collaborate through panel discussions and on-site visits.

Celebrating the Era of Collaboration

According to the Executive Director of IMCCA, Carol Zelkin, Collaboration Week is a crucial industry initiative offering opportunities for organisations and other parties to learn about the industry and how new technology is being used. Collaboration week at Silicon Valley features events at various service provider and end-user locations in the Silicon Valley area. There will also be panel discussions and tours to explore. Attendees will be able to join all functions that appeal to them.

Though attendance at the collaboration week events is complimentary, advanced registration is required. IMCCA Director of Emerging Technology, David Danto, is the Event Chair. According to David, it's an honour to conduct collaboration events that are packed full of curated, valuable content that doesn't waste the attendees' time.
