These Teams-certified and Zoom-certified AI-powered devices combine camera, speakers, microphones, and 4K touchscreen for video collaboration.
Before it introduced DTEN’s devices, IMD used multiple components, including computers, printers, screens, whiteboards, phones, microphones, and webcams.
Having so much equipment can bring more complexity and challenges with it, as Louis Leclézio, Chief Digital and Customer Experience Officer at IMD Business School, explains: “The more equipment you have, the more potential for breakdown and the more potential for issues.
What we really need to do at IMD is to enable discussion among people and we need to deliver our own content and for this we need technology that has pedagogy in mind, not just video conferencing.”
The DTEN D7X devices were delivered alongside the DTEN Vue Pro advanced camera system and will be used within the school’s Lausanne campus.
DTEN, a video conferencing solutions designer, describes IMD as a "top-ranked business school." IMD is planning to roll out more DTEN solutions in its buildings throughout the year.
‘Searching for the Perfect Solution’
DTEN explains that IMD had been looking for ‘the perfect solution’ for around one to two years before setting on its own technology.
Mark Abery, AV engineer at IMD Business School, spoke out about one of the biggest issues they were facing was brought to their attention by those using the equipment – it was nearing its end of life.
