Lenovo launched the ThinkSmart One Pro at InfoComm 2025, a new all-in-one collaboration bar for small meeting rooms and home offices.
Touted as the first of its kind to run Windows 11 IoT Enterprise and powered by an embedded Intel Core i5 processor and Intel vPro1, the device consolidates compute, camera, audio, and control into a single wall-mounted unit.
While Lenovo is positioning the product as a turnkey solution for video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms, the announcement has broader implications for IT leaders tasked with scaling collaboration infrastructure in the hybrid era.
“Knowledge workers everywhere highly value well-equipped spaces enabling the latest AI-powered features and applications for meeting and collaborating," said Marcus Kennedy, General Manager, Commercial Solutions at Lenovo.
With the ThinkSmart One Pro, Lenovo is providing technology that’s ubiquitous, equitable and seamless so more rooms can be transformed to smarter collaboration spaces and more team members can get more done.”
Simplifying the Tech Stack for Smaller Spaces
Traditionally, small meeting rooms have relied on a mix of endpoints: a mini-PC, a webcam, microphones, speakers, and a control interface, which often come from different vendors.
The ThinkSmart One Pro consolidates these into a single device, potentially reducing complexity during deployment.
For IT teams, that means fewer compatibility issues and more standardised, repeatable room configurations.
The included support for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) mode also allows users to connect a laptop and still take advantage of the bar’s AV hardware, which is potentially useful in organisations where Teams and Zoom coexist with Webex or Google Meet.
AI and AV Capabilities: Adequate for Most, Exceptional for Some
The One Pro includes an FHD camera with AI-powered dynamic framing and video fencing. These features help maintain focus on active speakers while ignoring background distractions, which is valuable in open or high-traffic environments.
On the audio side, eight beamforming microphones offer 180-degree pickup with DSP-based echo cancellation and noise suppression, and 15-watt stereo speakers aim to improve in-room clarity for remote participants. These capabilities may not match the performance of dedicated, high-end AV components in larger spaces, but they are likely more than sufficient for 2-6 person rooms.
Device Management and IT Integration
The ThinkSmart One Pro ships with Lenovo’s ThinkSmart Manager, which allows IT teams to remotely monitor, update, and manage fleets of devices. A one-year license for the platform’s Premium tier is included, and continued service is available at an additional cost.
