Video collaboration platform Neat has unveiled a suite of upgrades that aim to make its devices more powerful, flexible, and intelligent, especially for larger spaces.
The company's latest features, showcased this week at InfoComm 2025, include dual-camera room coverage, plug-and-play BYOD support, and a wave of new video calling apps available through the Neat App Hub.
"Neat is dedicated to delivering simple yet powerful solutions to our customers’ meeting room challenges, and this marks another step towards providing customers with the flexibility to get the maximum value from their Neat devices,” said Tormod Ree, Chief Product and Engineering Officer for Neat.
By expanding the capabilities of our hardware devices and intelligent software, we can provide more equitable, high-quality experiences across a range of collaboration spaces.”
Smarter Tech for Bigger Rooms
Neat’s most notable update is the introduction of dual Neat Center support.
The idea is to deploy two companion cameras (typically placed mid-room) alongside a front-of-room device, creating a triangulated, AI-managed view of participants.
The system uses machine learning to avoid duplicate framing and dynamically select optimal angles.
This approach aims to solve a real issue in large or crowded rooms: remote participants often miss non-verbal cues or can’t see speakers clearly. With added features like Speaker Framing and Neat Focus, the company is inching toward parity with more advanced multi-camera systems from legacy AV integrators.
Still, Neat's challenge may be convincing large enterprises to deploy multiple proprietary devices in a single space when more modular and interoperable camera systems already exist in the AV channel.
Plug-and-Play BYOD and App Hub
The Neat Bar Generation 2 is now available without the Neat Pad in a dedicated BYOD mode. Users can connect via a single USB cable for a seamless “bring your own device” experience, with no subscription required.
Neat also announced a significant expansion of the Neat App Hub, its integrated platform for distributing popular collaboration apps directly to Neat devices.
