The return to the office has resulted in an overwhelming increase in demand for Yealink products, according to Nuvias UC CEO Jeremy Keefe.
The return to the office has caused organisations to re-configure their spaces to be more collaborative and inclusive of hybrid workers, as well as offering a space that is as comfortable for employees as their own homes.
“We've had a Teams only relationship with Yealink for a couple of years now, but this year we’ve seen an expansion of room-based systems as a result of people returning to their offices,” Keefe told UC Today.
“When you go back to the office, you want one touch to dial, the systems to be excellent, great camera technology, great audio technology and the ability to collaborate, and that’s driven huge demand for room systems, and Yealink has certainly benefited from that.”
“Through the pandemic, we saw headsets really expand, but in the last six months, we’ve seen a slowdown in headsets and an increase in handsets again, and Yealink is benefiting from the shortages that are in the marketplace because it doesn’t have the shortages that its competition has.”
The pan-European VAD distributor has seen “monumental” growth in its Yealink business over the past year, particularly in the UK. Nuvias UC has seen its Yealink business grow “fourfold” so far this financial year, with Keefe expecting this momentum to continue until the ned end of its financial year in March 2022. Demand in the UK has dwarfed this, with Nuvias UC reporting just under 600 percent growth in Yealink’s video offerings, and nearly 350 percent growth in its audio products.
The UC-focused distributor VAD is expecting to nearly double revenues this year to £110m and the UK remains the largest contributor to that figure, though its European presence is growing.
“The UK is our biggest market by a long way; last year the UK made up 92 percent of our business, but this year it will be around 80 percent,” Keefe continued.
