On June 20th, 2017 Microsoft introduced the release of the Mac client for Skype for Business 2015. This is quite a significant update for Mac users, as it's designed to address many of the previous issues with the client.
One of the key features that has been in the lineup for a while now, has been the ability to use static conference IDs for the Mac client. Skype for Business on-premises deployments allow end-users to create meetings in Microsoft Outlook through their dedicated meeting spaces, with the latest Mac release.
What are Static IDs?
A static ID is something that allows users to create and manage conference calls using the same dedicated ID. This conference ID will be automatically generated by the client, but it will also remain the same for each conference.
This means that with a static ID, whenever you conduct a Skype for Business conference, you will be using the same conference ID every time. If you want to create a dynamic ID from the Microsoft Outlook tool bar, all you need to do is specify "Set access permissions", and you'll see a dialog box. Make sure that you click on the box that says, "customise access levels" then hit "remember settings" and click ok.At the bottom of your Microsoft Outlook invite, you should be able to see your conference ID with a different number that shows up whenever you create a new conference.
