Join Microsoft Teams Meetings Free for 1 Year

Microsoft Teams offers free audio conferencing dial-in for 1 year, helping buyers add global phone access to meetings.

Microsoft Teams free meetings for one year

Microsoft Teams is helping companies to stay connected with a new valuable offer. For a full year, users will be able to join Team meetings for free via a call-in number. The offer is available now, and it expires on the 31st of March 2021, so it’s worth taking advantage fast (while you still can).

Via audio conferencing technology, attendees can jump into a Microsoft Teams meeting wherever they are, using a globally-available dial-in number. This is useful for people who need to join meetings from landline phones, or without internet access. The global dial in number is free to use for attendees for one year, although you’ll only be able to join via voice.

To take advantage of the offer, you’ll need to acquire some free licenses and assign them to users throughout your company.

How to Access the New Offer

Microsoft notes that there’s no negative impact to your organisation if you decide not to access the free offer. You’ll continue to be able to use Microsoft Teams however you choose. However, if you initiate the dial-in conferencing, when a licensed user creates a Teams meeting, the body of the invitation for that meeting will include a dial-in number. This phone number will allow users to dial-in to meetings without any license.

To activate the free dial-in feature for audio conferencing on Microsoft Teams, you’ll need to visit your Admin centre. From there, go into Purchase Services> Add-ons, and select the free Microsoft 365 promo for audio conferencing adoption. After that, all you need to do is assign your free licenses to the users in your organisation that need them.

Taking advantage of the free offer means that anyone can easily dial into your conversation (with your invitation), without a license. Microsoft recommends letting your employees with licenses know that their Teams meeting invitations will include a dial-in phone number for at least the next year.

You can learn more about the discounts and offers from Microsoft for Microsoft Teams on the company’s website.
