tekVizion has announced that KCOM, one of the UK's leading communication and IT services companies, will be extending its product testing into 2018, with the certification of its Microsoft Skype for Business solution. tekVizion accelerates connected business and maximises communications uptime by validating and automating collaboration workflows. This puts the most current communications applications in the hands of users to boost productivity and cut costs.

As a business, KCOM is constantly evolving to continue to help customers achieve greater value from the way they interact, collaborate, and connect to improve customer experience. KCOM works with some of the UK’s biggest organisations, so it is key to ensure solutions are validated efficiently. Over the past three years, tekVizion has tested a range of KCOM products, which have subsequently been rolled out to its enterprise and small business customers.

“tekVizion’s accreditation and multiple vendor certification gives our customers peace of mind that our solutions fully integrate with their system’s software and hardware,” said Trevor Oakford, Senior Product Manager at KCOM.

“tekVizion has the experience and capabilities we look for when working with large service providers.  Their lab can quickly and efficiently test our products and, if a problem occurs tekVizion know what they tested and how to solve it, straight away.”

To date, tekVizion has completed 15 tests with KCOM, with more to be executed in 2018 and beyond.  tekVizion’s unique interoperability lab fully validates collaboration workflows and accurately verifies and certifies the service. tekVizion has approved the following products for certification on behalf of KCOM to add to its portfolio of certified supported systems: Mitel MiVB (3300); Cisco CUCM with CUBE; NEC SV9100; Unify OpenScape Voice; and Alcatel-Lucent OpenTouch.

“KCOM delivers highly effective communications and collaboration solutions to an impressive list of organisations in the UK. As such, we know how important it is for them to be able to provide their customers with a fully validated, certified and automated workflow platform,” said Simon Richards, EMEA and APAC Managing Director, tekVizion.

“One of our key objectives is to boost user productivity and cut costs. To be able to do that for one of the UK’s largest providers is a great proof point for our business and we are looking forward to working on many more projects together.”
