Lenovo ThinkSmart View Plus launch

Lenovo has launched a standalone collaboration device for Microsoft Teams hybrid work environments.

Featuring a 27-inch multi-touch display, premium video and audio capabilities, and built-in compute power, the ThinkSmart View Plus is an all-in-one device aimed at boosting productivity and collaboration.

Offering a tailored Microsoft Teams Display experience with added security features, this device grants users access to Teams chat, calendar, and files, while also enabling them to join meetings directly from the device.

Shannon MacKay, General Manager of Worldwide Smart Collaboration Business, Lenovo, said: “The ThinkSmart View Plus is designed with the functionality to help increase productivity, innovation, and employee satisfaction.

“And with the Lenovo ThinkSmart View Plus now certified for Microsoft Teams Display, customers know they have a high-quality advanced collaboration solution to empower team members.”

The ThinkSmart View Plus also supports hotdesking, allowing employees to quickly locate flexible workspaces for impromptu calls, ad-hoc meetings, or accessing their personal Teams experience.

With smooth transitions between home and work offices, users can enjoy a customised Teams experience without complicated setups. Moreover, the device ensures that personal information is removed upon sign-out, minimising security risks.

To facilitate collaborative brainstorming sessions, the ThinkSmart View Plus includes a passive stylus pen and a Microsoft whiteboard application.

In terms of audio and visual capabilities, the device features a premium soundbar with two 5W speakers and a four-microphone array for clearer sound, while the 4K IRGB camera with auto framing and AI security features delivers sharp and high-quality images.

The device will be available in select markets from July, with a starting price of $2,345.

Aver Partnership

Earlier this year, Lenovo partnered with AVer to create a certified hybrid meeting room connectivity solution for Microsoft Teams.

The solution includes the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core and Controller, along with AVer's VB130 and VC520 Pro2 cameras for different room sizes.

AVer's VB130 is an all-in-one soundbar with a 4K camera and advanced microphone features, while the VC520 Pro2 offers a premium conferencing system with a 24X zoom and expandable speakerphone solution.

The Lenovo ThinkSmart Core and Controller integrate with AVer's camera solutions to enable secure and seamless connectivity, sharing, and collaboration.

Lenovo has been actively collaborating with other companies, such as Jabra, to provide hybrid working meeting room systems optimized for Microsoft Teams Rooms.

Additionally, Lenovo has released the AI-assisted ThinkCentre neo 50a 24 desktop, designed for small and medium businesses, featuring 12th-generation Intel Core H-series processors and Windows 11 for enhanced performance, productivity, and collaboration.
