Messaging solutions provider Mavenir has acquired Telestax for an undisclosed sum.
Telestax’s Communications Platform-as-a-Service (CPaaS) enablement solutions are expected to enhance Mavenir Engage, the vendor’s cloud- messaging monetisation and customer engagement offerings.
Mavenir Engage is cloud-based and provides CSPs, systems intergrators and channel partners with RCS Business Messaging, messaging monetization capabilities, and chatbots, as well as access to different messaging ecosystems.
It is anticipated that the addition of Telestax’s capabilities will enable service providers with new agile, nimble SaaS service models to better compete in the new digital economy, deliver specialisation, flexibility, and simplicity, and provide easy-to-consume APIs and business critical applications.
Pardeep Kohli, President and CEO of Mavenir, stated:
“Communication platforms are becoming a key differentiator for service providers"
“They will unlock enterprise value in 5G with API enablement for different verticals, such as IoT, smart cities, automotive, and provide turnkey applications for logistics, fleet management, AI/ML chatbots, voice biometrics verification, immersive commerce/entertainment, and many other use cases.”
Ian Maclean, SVP/GM Cloud Services at Mavenir, added: “CPaaS is the key enabling technology for our Mavenir Engage service to position Communications Service Providers (CSPs) at the forefront of the digital engagement landscape.
