Microsoft certifies Yealink for Skype for Business

Microsoft has announced Yealink’s T46G SFB and T48G SFB ‘phones have become the first in the company’s T4x series to be certified for use on its Skype for Business Online Service platform.

Offered as part of the software giant’s Office 365 productivity suite, the new platform offers cloud PBX and PSTN conferencing functionality accessed via add-on licences.

The move will further strengthen Yealink’s market appeal with the company’s range already having been acclaimed for uniquely emulating the Skype for Business laptop user experience. This enhances ease of use as the handsets employ icons and operational steps with which users of the platform will already be familiar.

This has helped boost the popularity of the five models in Yealink’s T4x SFB series, all of which are accredited for use with the standard Skype for Business platform. All models also incorporate Better Together over Ethernet (BToE) for seamless switching between Skype and a desktop client.

Yealink’s Skype for Business specialist, Brett Kershaw commented:

“Gaining accreditation for Skype for Business Online Service can only strengthen the case for adoption of Yealink handsets,”

“Access to PSTN conferencing creates an effective and affordable dial-in conference service whilst the cloud PBX enables simple integration with PC, Mac and mobile devices.

Couple those client features with the advanced functionality, reliability and price advantage offered by Yealink and you have a proposition that will, in particular resonate SME buyers.”

He added that other models in the company’s T4x Skype for Business range are currently undergoing accreditation testing. These are expected to be certified by Microsoft for use on the online platform within the next few weeks.

Both the T46G SFB and T48G SFB are designed to serve the executive and professional sectors, offering dual-port Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and advanced features such as Outlook calendar synchronisation and meeting join functionality. Both incorporate colour screens with the T48G SFB near 18cm 800x480 pixel backlit display offering touch functionality.

All handsets offered by Yealink UK’s official distributors and ITSP partners are also backed by the company’s lifetime guarantee.  This means the company will replace any faulty handsets up to 12 months after their official end-of life date.
