Destination Microsoft Teams

Episode 3 of our Microsoft Monthly podcast brings you all the latest news and updates from Skype for Business and Teams.

 

Tom Arbuthnot from Modality Systems joins Patrick to discuss the five new interoperability modes being introduced to encourage and enable greater transition between Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.

Also Microsoft have announced that older Lync IP phones will be obsolete after October this year as they don’t conform to the latest encryption protocol that Microsoft will be using for Office 365. Tom explains that although these phones are going to be useless after October there are various trade in programmes for any customers who still have them enabling them to move to the latest alternative.

We also discuss changes that Microsoft will be making to audio conferencing providers that are available on their platforms. Then we look ahead to next month's events within the industry.
