Looking for the latest features available from Microsoft Teams Phones? You’re in the right place. Microsoft Teams is the go-to solution for UCaaS and collaboration tools right now. With Teams Phones, you can take your Microsoft portfolio to the next level.
Here’s what you can experience right now with Teams on your desk phone, PC, or mobile device.
Add or Transfer Call, Background Replacement, and More
One of the most valuable additions to arrive for Microsoft Teams Phones phone experience today is the ability to transfer or add calls and meetings across multiple devices. If you’re taking a meeting on your PC, you’ll see a notification that allows you to add your mobile device to split video and audio or transfer the meeting completely.
This feature comes in handy if you’re in a call and you need to move away from your PC. This way, you can stay connected wherever you go. Your phone will even recognise you’re on a call and prompt you to transfer or add, allowing you to start your call anywhere and transfer it to your desk phone.
Background replacement is also available now for video phones. One of the most popular features currently available for video phones, Background replacement allows users to select from a range of backgrounds to mask their physical environment.
For extra clarity in meetings, live captions are now available for Teams Phone calls. This will be ideal for people who like to maintain visual queues when interacting with contacts. Teams can detect what you’re saying during a 1:1 call and present the text in real-time.
Other Updates to the Phone Experience
Microsoft further announced the new opportunity to view Microsoft Outlook contacts in read-only mode. This means that if users create contracts within Outlook, their information can appear on the People app within the phone interface. Only phone numbers can appear for now, but users can search the phone for contacts they need to reach or email.
