Microsoft Teams’ compliance call recording feature allows businesses to access the recording tools they need to check various boxes for business success. Compliance recording will now be available as part of a new service plan. The function is being rolled out for Microsoft 365 E3, E5, A3, and A5 as well as Office 365 E3, 35, and A5 or Business Premium licenses.
The rollout is set for early March 2021.
Policy-based recording on Teams allows organisations on Microsoft Teams for meetings and callings to determine when calls and online meeting details should be recorded automatically.
Teams has been enhanced to support the integration of various third-party recording solutions, including user experiences, platform functionality, and administrative interfaces required for providing an end-to-end solution for communications.
The recent update means Microsoft is changing the selection of licences holders who can benefit from the recording features for Microsoft Teams. The user conducting the recording needs to be using a Teams client. However, other individuals can also connect to the call on any device.
