Mitel Leads the Way in Subscriber Growth for Q4 2017

A report from Synergy Research found that Mitel added more seats to their UCaaS subscriber rate than the third, fourth, and fifth competitors combined.

Mitel Q4 2017 subscriber growth

Mitel, a global market leader specialising in business communications that power more than two billion business connections, recently announced their phenomenal success in the fourth quarter of 2017. Mitel serves more than 70 million business users in over 100 countries around the world, and according to independent research from the Synergy Research Group, they could be performing better than ever.

Synergy recently confirmed that Mitel is leading the way above all other competitors in the UCaaS space according to the results given in the fourth quarter of 2017. Apparently, Mitel not only showed its exceptional selling potential but added more seats to their network than three of its competitors combined.

An Insight into Mitel's Market Potential

The results given by Synergy just go to show the strong demand that exists around Mitel's UCaaS portfolio. What's more, the report also demonstrated that this year's increase in subscriber numbers was more than 60% greater than the numbers recorded for the previous year.

The founder and Chief Analyst of the Synergy Research Group, Jeremy Duke, responded to the findings by saying that the UCaaS market has been in a state of persistent growth, with no signs of slowing anytime soon. Mitel's success in the space has helped the company to cement its space as a market leader. Now, the organisation has both the scale, innovation, and mass required to be a serious competitor for anyone else in the /unified-communications/ucaas environment.

Importantly, Mitel is also ranked as number two for Market Share Worldwide by Synergy Research. You can find the full UCaaS market share data report here.

Success Drive by the Cloud?

While there is no doubt a range of elements that helped Mitel to achieve the astronomical success it demonstrated at the end of 2017 Q4, one of the main features that the company believes has supported its growth is digital transformation (DX) and the move to the cloud. As companies around the world look for new ways to embrace agility and access flexible solutions for technical innovation, the cloud can be the key to a more future-proof communication strategy.

The CEO for Mitel, Rich McBee noted that various factors are driving companies into a cloud environment today, as they search for ways to reduce the competitive pressure on their brands. Mitel is offering clients the flexibility they need to fully embrace the cloud as they search for better scalability, flexibility, and versatility.

With Mitel, customers can move quickly to the cloud, accelerate their journey into a digitally-transformed communication space, and access new applications for communication and collaboration in a changing space.

This could be one of the many reasons why Mitel recently hit the mark for one million seats among UCaaS subscribers worldwide, and it's an element that has contributed to the company's position as a leader in the Gartner UC Magic Quadrant for the last four years in a row.
