Modality Systems Women in Tech support

Modality Systems, the world’s largest award-winning Microsoft communications practice, is proud to be sponsoring the Agile Angel category at this year’s DevelopHER awards.

The DevelopHER Awards is an annual not for profit awards ceremony recognising women who work in the technology sector in East Anglia.

The awards were inspired by the team at Norwich-based SyncDevelopHER, who run regular meet-ups hosting female role models speaking about their experiences in tech and encouraging more women to join their growing community. SyncDevelopHER’s founder, Vickie Allen, is the force behind the awards.

Modality Systems are proud to be sponsoring the Agile Angel Award which celebrates rising talent within the IT sector. As an award-winning communications and collaboration services specialist, we help global organisations realise and extend the business value, and transformational impact, of Microsoft’s evolving communications and collaboration suite. Development and software roles account for a large part of our recruitment in the IT sector.

Louise Mahrra, Global Marketing Manager for Modality Systems comments:

" At Modality Systems we are committed to making working in technology more accessible for everyone. We're extremely proud to be an award sponsor at this year’s DevelopHER Awards because it recognises outstanding women within the technology sector.”

Some of the awards up for grabs this year include:

  • The Agile Angel Award
  • Best Newcomer Award, Entrepreneur Award
  • Emerging Talent Award; and many more

There will also be an overall winner from all the categories, who will be up for The DevelopHer Award.

The criteria for the Agile Angel award focuses on those individuals who are ambassadors for adopting and using an Agile Methodology, and embody the Agile principles.

“At Modality Systems we’re passionate about driving positive change, and part of this is by increasing the number of women working in tech” concludes Mahrra.

As a growing company, with an office in the heart of the Norwich developer community, Modality Systems are delighted to receive applications from developers and testers regardless of gender and we regularly offers placements, internships and job positions to women.
