Neat has announced its "pioneering" App Hub, which is generally available and includes an application marketplace.
The video device designer’s App Hub is a development platform that hosts everyday apps in its newly launched App Marketplace, such as workplace experience, custom web apps, and shared space collaboration.
App Hub applications can then be deployed directly into Neat devices using Neat Pulse, a cloud-based platform that offers complete device control.
Hellene Yelda-Garcia, Vice President of Emerging Technologies at Neat, introduced the new app hub and marketplace via a company blog post: “Neat is incredibly proud to announce the GA of Neat App Hub and the launch of our App Marketplace, where you can access dozens of apps and tools through Neat devices for greater choice, flexibility, and inspiration."
Let’s be clear. Neat App Hub surpasses anything previously achieved with video hardware devices by incorporating familiar mobile app experiences into devices across the workplace."
"It’s now generally available with the certification of our first wave of applications plus an expanding ecosystem of use cases natively available on Neat devices via our newly launched App Marketplace.”
Neat App Hub
The Neat App Hub includes over two dozen providers, ranging from global market leaders at one end to specialised companies at the other, providing "innovative" applications to support daily workflows.
Neat is also reportedly expanding its App Hub with its Developer Program, through which it collaborates with app providers and developers to create new applications.
App providers’ room and desk booking solutions and digital signage apps have been made available to customers for the Neat Pad.
Furthermore, wayfinding, virtual receptionist, digital signage, visitor management, and collaboration solutions throughout Neat’s video device portfolio are entering beta. Custom web apps are due to gain beta availability in Q4 2024.
