Multi-award-winning company for collaboration solutions, Nureva, recently announced some exciting growth. The company revealed that the US Patent and Trademark Office has now awarded Nureva a new patent for embedding additional data into sound mask noise signals. This is the fourth patent that Nureva has successfully achieved for its Microphone Mist technology platform, which powers the HDL200 and HDL300 audio systems.
The patient addresses the ability of the speaker and microphone system in Nureva technology to create a continuous mask of sound that enables impulse response measurement for each speaker and microphone combination in real-time. The solution allows the system to automatically calibrate a multi-channel echo canceller for every speaker. Additionally, the tech provides real-time and continuous impulse response measurements.
Unlike some of the other products on the market, Nureva audio systems maintain exceptional performance by constantly adapting to the changes in the configuration of a room.
A Continued Commitment to Innovation

The newest patent is just the latest addition to an actively growing portfolio of intellectual property solutions from Nureva. Three other patents were announced for the microphone mist technology in the Autumn of 2019. These selection of patents provides evidence that the Microphone Mist technology stands apart from other traditional solutions like omnidirectional and beamforming microphones.
Microphone Mist technology uses sophisticated algorithms to process sound simultaneously from all virtual microphones at once, providing remote participants with a high-quality listening experience, enabled by constant auto-calibration, echo cancellation and sound masking. The range of innovations aligns with Nureva’s strategy to leverage intellectual property for the creation of products that break new ground in helping teams to collaborate more efficiently.
According to the CEO of Nureva, Nancy Knowlton, the family of Microphone Mist technology patents reflects a continued investment from Nureva into a rich, multi-layered platform, with plenty of opportunities for future growth.
Expanding Distribution into Israel
A new patent is only one of the recent steps that Nureva has taken in its growth strategy recently. The company has also announced the appointment of Naotech to help it build a stronger market in Israel. Naotech will act as Nureva’s reseller in Israel, to deliver the company’s audio conferencing product line to customers across the landscape.
