Oblong Industries, a company dedicated to changing how people work with multi-stream collaboration solutions and interactive spatial computing environments, recently updated its portfolio. Oblong has now added support for Cisco Webex to their Rumpus Meeting application for screen sharing purposes. Users will now be able to access a seamless experience on Rumpus that brings more multi-sharing opportunities into their online meetings.
Currently, the Rumpus app by Oblong is the only meeting solution that allows virtual teams to connect better at work through multi-stream collaboration. The app comes with an expanding range of visual tools that support the productivity of remote workers, including personal cursors, presence indicators, and unique emoji reactions. Rumpus is available in screen-sharing only mode too and works alongside a range of conferencing apps.
The New Cisco Webex Integration
The Cisco Webex integration with Rumpus starts the video meeting instantly in the Rumpus environment, allowing meeting participants to share screens without competing for attention. Now, it's possible to share as many screens as you like within a meeting.
According to the CEO of Oblong, John Underkoffler, the company has been working closely with Cisco during the last year. This has allowed them to build an excellent strategy for delivering the benefits of the flagship Mezzanine product into the Cisco suite of meeting space solutions. Now that Oblong has complete its own set of collaboration offerings by developing the Rumpus system for virtual work, they felt it was time to bring Webex into the mix as a direct integration.
Oblong is thrilled to be collaborating with Webex to bring next-level support for engagement and productivity to millions of users around the world.
