Olive's accounts up to January 2019 has shown a significant and continued growth in profitability and cash flow, particularly in the growing cloud sector.
The EBITDA for the brand has risen 43% to £2.1 million on revenues reduced by 7.6% as a consequence of expanding pressures in the mobile world, such as increasing EU roaming charges and changing mobile network operator tariffs. Cloud revenues, including the managed services solution provided by Olive in unified comms, mobile, contact centre, Microsoft, and cyber services, continue to show ongoing growth.
The significant growth of the cloud segment of the business has driven improvement of 3% in gross margins to approximately 44.2% according to Olive's latest reports, while gross profit has fallen by less than 1%. Operating cash flow of around £3.8 million was achieved this year, representing a 178% conversion of EBITDA, thanks to positive working capital changes, a modest £296k of CapEX, and funding £1.1 million of interest.
