Tom Arbuthnot from Modality Systems joins Patrick to discuss the latest November updates for the Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business platforms.
Firstly Patrick asks Tom about the latest communication addition to Office 365. Microsoft have now added a new mobile application, Kaizala. Kaizala is widely used in more emerging markets, as Tom explains, and Microsoft are aiming to cater for all customers with this latest addition that offers various features that could be useful in those regions.

Arguably the most interesting story to emerge this month is news that some Skype for Business Online customers have received notifications that they will be upgraded to Microsoft Teams automatically. It does appear to be a very small number of customers that are being impacted, and they do still have the option to opt out of the upgrade. Nonetheless an approach such as this has not been communicated widely and signals a potential change in approach from Microsoft when it comes to their focus on Teams.
Tom then takes Patrick through all the latest Teams platform news. There is a new Microsoft Teams Academy where a selection of tutorial and education style videos have been made available on YouTube for the community to enhance their understanding and use of the platform.
