Firstly Tom and Patrick tackle a big issue that Tom is being asked about a lot, is there a deadline date to migrate to Microsoft Teams? There is no deadline set for migration from either Skype for Business Online or the server edition, but Tom explains that users should be considering their migration strategies now in advance of any concrete announcements.
Microsoft have been making various moves which further enhance the priority of the Teams platform. Tom explains that more existing customers are being automatically upgraded from Skype to Teams, unless they opt out, and that Teams will now be included by default for new Office Pro Plus customers.
Last month Patrick attended Integrated Systems Europe 2019, which is the world's largest AV event, so the pod review all of the latest news from the show relating to Teams. Many of the providers that were present, including Crestron and Logitech, have invested a huge amount in developing hardware specifically designed to enhance the Teams meeting and collaboration experience.
