Patrick was joined by special guest Kevin Scott-Cowell, who is the UK Managing Director for 8x8.
8x8 have ambitious plans for their further growth and expansion and Kevin explains that the only way to achieve this is with serious investment in their infrastructure and technology platforms.
"We are investing heavily in the business, and investing in growth, big time, both from development of products and sales and marketing."
Their major focus this year was the release of their X-Series. There X-Series aims to cater to a market gap where up until now there has been no offering within the industry boasting to combine one cloud solution for voice, video conferencing, contact centre, team messaging and collaboration but now there is. 8x8 are able to offer this new breed of product as they are uniquely positioned, owning all of their technology platforms.
Kevin also explains that emerging technology is a critical focus for 8x8 as they aim to make their proposition even more valuable to customers. They will be utilising AI advances to further develop the capabilities of the X-Series. "This will provide greater insights, greater context, greater automation and greater efficiency for our customers in the future. So that’s really exciting."
8x8's growth has been remarkable and Kevin explains how the numbers have swelled throughout the different global regions. They will be continuing their expansion throughout 2019. The sporadic nature of cloud systems is one area where 8x8 are seeing transition, they are hearing from more and more customers about their requirement for more consolidated systems.
