Mitel (NASDAQ: MITL), is a global leader in the world of real-time cloud, business, and mobile-first communications. Known throughout the globe for their innovative use of technology and cutting-edge business solutions, Mitel recently announced a new development in their company in the form of the appointment of Pierre-Jean Chalon to become leader of business operations in the APAC region. From his base in Singapore, Chalon will become responsible for overseeing and managing all business operations for Mitel, leveraging experience of over 25 years in the global telecommunications industry and Asia Pacific territories.
Chalon's New Role
Per the details of the position, Chalon will be expected to report to Mitel's Chief Officer in Sales, Graham Bevington, and is expected to play a significant leadership role when it comes to expanding the market presence and brand exposure of the company within the APAC region. Mitel believe that this expansion will represent a significant point in the growth of their business, as global companies turn more eagerly towards options that allow them to migrate from premises-based technology, to cloud solutions.

Essential Experience
Chalon comes to Mitel from the SONUS networks, having previously held roles for senior sales management in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan with Green Packet, Alcatel and Motorola. His years of experience within the field ensure that Chalon brings with him a comprehensive understanding of the sales and marketing requirements present in the industry, and the needs of the APAC region. What's more, Chalon has fully demonstrated his ability to promote growth within the bottom and top lines of leading-edge tech markets.
According to Chalon, there's a crucial need to collaborate more effectively with the fast-moving markets of Asia, he believes that Mitel's proven history of "helping companies of all sizes leverage the most advanced unified communications", will play a significant part in the development of the region.
