Polycom is channelling “the voice of the customer” into Polycom’s products and innovation DNA, and to lead this effort, Polycom has promoted Andrew Hug to the role of area sales vice president, systems engineers, EMEA and APAC. In his new role, Andrew will focus on identifying and sharing the unique collaboration and communication needs and feedback from the thousands of EMEA and APAC customers with the Polycom engineering team.
Andrew will lead the charge on providing customer insights, analysing customer feedback, applying international best practices for product innovation, and enabling more fluid cross-company technical knowledge-sharing. He will report directly to Marco Landi, senior vice president, Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe.
The new role will harness the power of regional customers, both existing and new, to optimise the company’s unified communications solutions. Andrew, and team, will showcase Polycom’s Executive Experience Centres to enable companies to see the power of Polycom’s solutions, such as the Trio Family, RealPresence Group Series, RealPresence Centro, Microsoft Skype Room systems, RealPresence Immersive Studio, and many more.
Andrew is a seasoned industry veteran with extensive experience in the unified communications industry. At Polycom, he was previously responsible for the technical sales consulting and demonstration facilities group across EMEA. He helped establish Polycom’s technical sales consulting function in China, Hong Kong and Singapore back in the days, and was also involved in staff recruitment, customer engagement and partner advisory for the Service Providers. Andrew joined the company in 2001 from Accord where he was the support director covering EMEA & Asia, and was responsible for both pre- and post-sales support.
