Pragma Techland EnableX Group acquisition

Pragma has acquired Techland and created a new holding company to house its three brands.

EnableX Group is the new umbrella brand for three distributors – Techland, Candio and Pragma.

Techland brings with it direct routing-as-a-service technologies. As a Platinum Ribbon distributor, it also enables organisations to implement Microsoft Teams and Zoom’s collaboration technologies through its SBC offering.

Will Morey, Chief Executive and EnableX Group, said:

“This transaction is a fantastic opportunity for us to continue to build a strong and growing business that remains 100% dedicated to the reseller channel.  The similar ethos and culture of both businesses was a huge driver in getting this deal done and underpins our clear focus on continuing to bring winning propositions to high growth resellers."

According to Pragma, EnableX Group will have over 250 resellers, as well as vendor relationships, including Ericsson-LG, Ribbon and SO Connect.

The EnableX Group raised funding from BOOTS&Co with the help of Knight Corporate Finance.

Dean Mayer, Chief Financial Officer at EnableX Group, said: “This provides an excellent opportunity to accelerate the growth of Techland within the EnableX Group.  Having spent most of my career in private equity, I have been looking to invest and play a role in driving growth in a fast moving technology business.  EnableX is just that and provides huge opportunity for our vendor partners, resellers and the team”.

Candio helps resellers, utility companies, and marketing agencies deliver white-label digital services.

Pragma, meanwhile, is the sole UK distributor for Ericsson-LG, a unified communications company.

Ahed Alkhatib, Global Head of Sales, Ericsson-LG Enterprise, said: "Working with the team at Pragma has delivered outstanding growth for us in the UK market.  This new group provides increased opportunities for all of the stakeholders whilst maintaining their focus and capability on iPECS Cloud and I know the team will continue to be hugely successful”.

Ericsson-LG, a joint venture between Ericsson and LG Electronics, announced it would acquire Vonage for $6.2bn.

Pragma’s latest acquisition follows a string of updates and expansion over the last few years.
