The introduction of white label direct routing for Microsoft Teams will enable resellers to leverage the growing demand for Teams as a central hub for hybrid work. The solution connects the tool for teamwork and collaboration to the PSTN while keeping costs low and unlocking new features currently not available within the Calling Plans for Microsoft Teams.
Leveraging the Microsoft Teams Opportunity
Director of Reinvent’s Wholesale Channel, David Ansehl, said that demand for Microsoft Teams collaboration software has been escalating rapidly in the last year, since the pandemic prompted a new transition to remote and hybrid work.
By offering a direct routing solution for Microsoft Teams, Reinvent is providing partners and resellers with a valuable SIP trunking solution for Teams users. Resellers will now assist business customers in connecting Teams to the outside world with more support, a wider selection of features, and lower costs.
The Direct Routing solution will be powered by the MetaSwitch SBC from Microsoft, and it aligns perfectly with the Phone System from Microsoft. This allows for native calling functionality within the Teams application. The Direct Routing solution means companies can use Teams as their central solution for communication, without compromising on features like call recording, disaster recovery call forwarding, and account codes.
The Product Manager for Reinvent, Jeff Kramarczyk, said that Reinvent is also offering hybrid networking options between the cloud-based UC solution and the Microsoft Phone System to allow for calling to door phones, common area phones, and overhead paging.
