RingCentral, pioneers in the enterprise cloud communication landscape, recently ran a virtual developer conference. The Code Together conference, running between the 20th and 22nd of October 2020, was the first virtual developer conference designed to explore the latest developments in communication technology. RingCentral’s event pulled developers around the world together for a discussion on the current and future trends of communications.

The virtual event included informative insights from leaders and innovators like Canva’s Guy Kawasaki, and Kira Mikagon, RingCentral’s Chief Innovation Officer. The conference marked a fantastic moment for the RingCentral developer community, which now exceeds 45,000 people!

A Hub For Virtual Discovery and Insights

According to the Kira Mikagon, the Chief Innovation Officer at RingCentral, providing users with effective and productive communication services is a crucial challenge in the current landscape. To overcome this hurdle, companies need to create business workflows that combine excellent functionality, with security, and reliability, through open APIs. RingCentral believes that providing open access to crucial tools for developers is an essential part of its operations.

According to Makagon, RingCentral is thrilled to have hosted an environment where the developer community could hear from their peers, connect with industry leaders, and even reach customers. Any developer interested in the future of communication could benefit from RingCentral’s conference.

The first day of the event featured sessions with customers like 24 Hour Tees, and Columbia University. The day also came with various technical sessions presented by experts. The agenda featured:

  • Winning with RC integration (a customer’s perspective)
  • The Programmable Contact Centre and how to customise customer experience
  • RingCentral platform roadmap

An Exciting Experience for RingCentral Developers

The Code Together virtual conference from RingCentral ended with an award ceremony to honour some of the most active and innovative creators in the community. The award ceremony also commended RingCentral’s Independent Software Vendor partners.

Chief Evangelist of Canva, Guy Kawasaki, delivered the opening keynote address, along with a discussion about the art of innovation. According to Kawasaki, he admires the RingCentral brand for it’s fantastic growth strategy and commitment to innovation. Guy noted that he was excited to share his knowledge at the Code Together conference, where he discussed “denting the universe”.
