Provider of cloud-based management and scheduling software, Robin Powered, recently announced that it has secured $20 million a funding round led by Tola Capital. The investment includes participation from FirstMark, Accomplish, and Allegion Ventures, and follows a $3 million seed round, as well as a $7 million Series A funding round.
According to Sam Dunn, CEO, who founded the Robin company with Brian Muse, twin brother Zach Dunn, and Apollo Sinkevicius in 2014, the business will be investing heavily in a go-to-market strategy, while expanding office space and its team. Sam noted that offices today need to support the various kinds of work that happen today, and Robin gives companies insights into what their team needs. The Robin booking system offers an extensive solution with visibility into meeting room amenities, availability, and more.
Introducing Robin Powered Solutions
According to the Robin team, their end clients for web browsers and iOS devices display both work and personal calendars, while allowing participants to end and extend meetings anywhere. The clients also automatically remove abandoned meetings from the system to keep rooms clear for the people who need them. Additionally, the mobile apps display reminders and work alongside Bluetooth beacons to "check-in" employees and detect real-time occupancy levels.
Rooms on every floor of the office space can be meticulously managed and indexed by the Robin search engine, allowing the platform to suggest times and spaces for various activities. The Robin system records usage to optimise areas and shows availability, location, and capacity to the user.
As well as orchestrating room experiences, Robin also offers desk management and workstation tools that allow managers to assign permanent or temporary desks. From an administrative perspective, team leaders can also access options within Robin that will enable them to choose how and when desks or rooms can be booked.

From a simple and intuitive dashboard, organisers and meeting participants in the workplace will be able to get office-wide analytics and overviews, complete with dynamic office floor plans which showcase which rooms are already in use. Robin also highlights when people are business during peak hours.
