Prior to 2013, Samepage Labs was an on-premises server software suite. Samepage eventually became an independent cloud solution, following the successful sale of Kerio Technologies (its previous name) to GFI Software.
Quickly, Samepage established itself, reporting large growth and forging global partnerships under the direction of Scott Schreiman, Martin Viktora, and Stanislav Kolář. Today, Samepage has offices in the United States and the Czech Republic with over 250,000 users in 180 countries on its platform.
Samepage’s new free features
Available for desktop, Mac, iOS, and Android users, Samepage now offers free group text, voice, and video chat tools. Like Slack’s Channels, Samepage users can have unlimited group chats, call anyone from any device, send attachments, share screens, see link previews, search through their message history, and react with emojis.
With the release of these features, Samepage is further establishing itself in workplace collaboration. Samepage also announced it would enable unlimited third-party integrations using Zapier.
Samepage is now positioned to capture a significant part of the business market seeking such features. As they now offer text, voice, and video chat for free, this should be enticing for SMBs. Also tackling free file sharing and synchronization, task/calendar management, as well as real-time document collaboration, Samepage is one of the few ‘all-in-one’ team collaboration apps on the market.
Scott Schreiman, Founder & CEO at Samepage said: "What we're trying to accomplish is a revolution in communications. Today, communicating means more than just chat and video conferencing. Getting work done requires a deeply integrated approach, unifying conversations with content and workflow."
"These features and more should be bundled in one place to make business communication truly unified"
Samepage does offer a paid version. Through Samepage Pro, SMBs pay $7 monthly, the fee, billed on an annual basis. SMBs gain access to the unlimited use of its Samepage Teams and more administrative controls with Pro. Realizing the potential for growth, Samepage does not limit its work to SMBs, extending special pricing to non-profits, educational institutions, and enterprises.
