In today’s fast-paced landscape, businesses can rarely afford to stick with the one-size-fits-all strategy for their business communications anymore. Many innovative vendors are beginning to deliver new levels of value in the UC and collaboration space, by giving companies a more flexible way to build their communication stack.

Sangoma, one of the fastest-growing companies in the UC solution provider marketplace, believes businesses of all sizes can achieve greater success by unlocking the benefits of affordable, reliable business communications. The Sangoma brand provides award-winning on-premises and cloud solutions to suit businesses from any background. Sangoma is quickly emerging as a leader in enterprise and value-based communications, particularly thanks to a number of strategic acquisitions.
I caught up with Sangoma’s Director of Sales for Europe, Simon Horton, to get the lowdown on their latest offer.
Sangoma is an evolving brand
Sangoma is a leader in the unified communications and phone system environment, offering a combination of high-value on-premises and cloud solutions. Simon Horton told me that he is responsible for looking after sales for Sangoma in Europe, and he’s excited by how much the business has grown in the last few years.
“We’ve made several acquisitions and have grown amazingly well in the last couple of years. When I first started, we were a small team with around 40 people, now we have 350 employees”
Like many companies in the communication space, Sangoma is currently moving through a process of digital transformation, stepping away from the pure hardware vendor experience into the world of recurring sales. Sangoma acquired the VoIP innovations LLC brand recently, which marked the company’s eighth acquisition in as many years. The VoIP Innovation purchase provided the company with several new strategic advantages, including new opportunities for recurring revenue, new product categories in CPaaS, and an exciting new sales channel.
In recent years Sangoma has also acquired well-known brands such as FreePBX, Asterisk, Digium, VoIP Supply and Dialogic.
Free Phone System for 12 Months
The most recent offering from Sangoma is a particularly enticing one for today’s brands, as it claims to give companies a fully featured phone system for 12 months, for free.
I was interested to find out what the “catch” was for this new deal. Simon told me that customers actually can access the full 12 months for free when they sign up for a 3 year contract. So you get all of your seats for free in that first year.
