ShoreTel Chrome and G Suite integration

ShoreTel, an innovative communications company that's leading the way for simple UC solutions recently launched the new "ShoreTel Connect" for the Chrome browser - an integrated service that provides a complete UC experience for G Suite, ShoreTel Connect, and Google Chrome. Thanks to the latest client app, users will be able to improve their productivity, enhance efficiency, and streamline the flow of work within an enterprise. The app will permit for better collaboration with integrated contacts, as well as comprehensive event and call control.

What to Expect from the Latest Integration

The latest integration from ShoreTel has been designed to make working life easier for customers across a vast network of business and enterprise solutions, allowing users to:

  • Join and create new ShoreTel events from the Google Calendar. All you need to do is click on a notification, and you'll be transported directly into a web conference where you can collaborate with various users by sharing a screen and participating in intensive group chats.
  • Improve productivity through integrated call control. Users will be able to seek out contacts, control calls and dial from the Chrome browser extension, and view presence status for contacts within their search results.
  • Seek out contacts by merging their G Suite and ShoreTel contact portfolios within a single list. The "Connect" system for the Chrome browse will give all users the chance to access all their contacts and initiate communication through a single click!

Simplifying Productivity

Both G Suite and Google Chrome browser are already used extensively in the enterprise world, and across many verticals too. In other words, now is the perfect time to start integrating "ShoreTel Connect" with google solutions for productivity. According to the Senior Vice President for Solutions in ShoreTel, Eugenia Corrales, the latest offering helps to outline the brand's commitment to intuitive and exciting integrated business solutions.

From now on, Chrome browser users will be able to access a seamless experience with a range of integrated ShoreTel features. What's more, ShoreTel have no plans of stopping their innovations any time soon. In fact, Corrales commented that they would "continue to grow our capabilities in this area", concentrating largely on broad web-based collaboration opportunities.

Banishing "Tool Fatigue"

According to the CEO of Packet Fusion, a premium partner of ShoreTel, Matt Pingatore, the current enterprise world is suffering significantly from a case of "tool fatigue". In other words, there are too many apps and tools overlapping on desktop and mobile devices - and not enough time to keep track of them all. Thanks to ShoreTel Connect for the Chrome browser, users will no longer have to devote nearly as much time to choosing the "right" tool, but instead will be able to define exactly where they want to work.

Today, Connect ONSITE and CLOUD users can get their businesses up and running more effectively simply by downloading the ShoreTel Connect app from the Google Chrome store. It will be available with no extra cost to CLOUD and ONSITE customers in the U.S. which already have Essentials, Advance, or Standard service plans.
