Microsoft has quietly rolled out a new update that changes a small, but for many, important detail for those hosting a presentation on Teams calls.
The new update will add a slide control feature that allows multiple people to control slides being presented in a meeting or call.
Microsoft believes the addition will mean that meetings with multiple presenters are able to maintain "a smooth flow during meetings or webinars".
Presentations in Teams
Microsoft Teams offers presentation functionality as part of its collaborative platform. The software allows users to share content during video meetings and conferences, with presentation options in Teams include screen sharing, where users can display their entire desktop or specific applications to other participants.
Yet presentations were previously limited by a significant bottleneck: the inability for multiple users to control slides simultaneously.
This limitation often led to clunky experiences, especially if the slide presenter was different to the person giving the presentation.
However, Microsoft announced in a blog post an end to the annoyance with this new feature.
The new tweak will allow multiple people to control slides being presented in a meeting or call.
