TeamViewer has integrated its remote support capabilities directly into Google Meet in efforts to enhance collaboration and simplify its IT troubleshooting.
“Businesses depend on Google Meet for communication, but technical disruptions can impact productivity,”
Stefan Prestele, Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances at TeamViewer said.
This integration enables businesses and IT teams to resolve technical issues with TeamViewer without having to install extra software or leave their preferred video conferencing platform.
TeamViewer's Tactical Move
Google Meet, part of Google Workspace, is widely used for workplace communication, supporting businesses of all sizes and seeing 300 million monthly users.
A selling point of the suite is there are no complex installations or setups, as the use of it is entirely browser-based.
This works well for teams without large technical know-how.
However, for customers using Google Workspace, getting them to then download video software to communicate with technical staff may run contrary to this.
Therefore, TeamViewer's integration shows the remote access and management company taking a step to meet its customers on their level.
With TeamViewer’s integration, users can access remote support and troubleshooting directly within their meetings—eliminating the need to switch between apps.
“By integrating TeamViewer’s remote access capabilities, we empower teams with instant IT support during meetings, ensuring seamless collaboration and faster issue resolution,” Prestele said.
