TelcoSwitch has acquired Coventry-based PBX Hosting Ltd in a deal worth £4.5m. It marks the second acquisition so far this year for the UC provider, after snapped up OneVoice in January, just weeks after receiving a £4m cash injection to pursue an M&A strategy. PBX Hosting was founded in 2007 and specialises in hosted UCaaS solutions to offices and contact centres through its channel partners. It will continue to operate under its own identity due to its “strong regional presence” and will retain its management team and staff. The purchase of PBX Hosting will add 32,000 active users and channel partners to TelcoSwitch’s business. “Acquisition activity is key for us as we expand our UCaaS intellectual property and footprint of channel partners,” stated Russell Lux, CEO at TelcoSwitch. “The PBX Hosting team has built a successful business, underpinned by great technology and a loyal customer base. We’re looking forward to welcoming them into the TelcoSwitch Group, and exploring the opportunity to add further value to their customers and partners through the wider product portfolio.” Stuart Gibson, CEO at PBX Hosting, added: “Both our companies are extremely well aligned on ethos, technology and how we support our partners, which is why TelcoSwitch is the ideal home for PBX Hosting. We can’t wait to get started in enhancing our offering to our collective partners and customers.”
