UC provider Ultatel has launched a video conferencing tool as part of its new Clarity Connect app.
The US-based vendor specialises in telephony systems, but has launched its new softphone system Clarity Connect to allow businesses of all sizes to stay connected anytime and anywhere.
Ultratel’s entrance into the video conferencing space has always been a part of its roadmap and the events of 2020 made it clear how necessary such a tool was for Ultatel’s customers, said Founder and CEO, Amr Ibrahim.
“Due to the remote working push we got early requests from our customers that they now need to move their phones to work from home, which our service perfectly supported and we saw that there was more of a need for collaboration between employees, the video conferencing, service, the chat, the messages, and maintaining communication with customers,” he told UC Today.
“As a company, we had to make some decisions on how we're going to move our product to support that customer need.”
Ultatel’s video solution differentiates itself in the market by its security features and its flexibility with other platforms, such as Microsoft Teams, Ibrahim said.
“We are top of the line when it comes to security encryption, end to end encryption for single or two site calls only and we're coming with plans to have it on multi-video conferencing too,” he elaborated.
“It’s also reliable in how it fits into other products; companies now moving to a complete UCaaS solution would have two or three products in their portfolio to communicate with their customers and vendors, and one of those will be video conferencing.
“But we're building [our video solution] so that it is part of the complete platform for communication; we're putting it next to voice, to SMS, to chat and all the communication channels you have with your customers and vendors.”
